Hands-on Pebble Flow tour confirmed the expected space and build quality
My wife and I flew from Florida to Fremont for a hands-on tour. Based on all the research I had done over many months, surprisingly, there were zero surprises. Everything was exactly as described, and the cabin felt exactly as expected from a volume, features, and fit-and-finish standpoint. It is really a beautiful and well-crafted vehicle, especially in person.
My wife is more sensitive to the claustrophobic feel of small spaces, and she had absolutely nothing but praise for the Flow and no concerns about the ability to enjoy living in that space for several months at a time. Pebble staff spent lots of time with us showing us everything and answering every technical question I raised, while also providing backstory about testing and design decisions from the early prototypes up to the current production model.
Pebble staff were very candid about the realities and issues of the early days and the scaling-up process that is still underway, and nothing we heard raised concerns for me. We discussed lots of “what if” scenarios, and it was clear that in every case I raised, those scenarios had already been thoroughly reviewed, tested, and mitigated, or were actively in development for solutions to be applied in future OTA updates.
Planning on being far from the factory on the East Coast, we discussed issue resolution and support. Again, I felt like every concern I raised had already been considered and that solutions or support options were planned for. Warm feelings all around about pulling the trigger on our planned vacation home on wheels.
We also got to see a Sand-colored Flow in person and confirmed that it has too much beige for us, so we are sticking with Fern. Happy to answer any questions.
I expect to take delivery of our Flow in Sky soon. I’ll share the pickup and return-trip experience afterward to help others planning something similar.
Fellow Coloradan—yes, please keep us posted. Hope everything goes well!
