Pebble Community is free to read. There is no paywall, no account needed to browse, and no ads. Hosting, the database, the domain and the email service still cost money every month, and one owner pays for them.
When an owner posts a product or a mod and links the part on Amazon, we add our Amazon Associates referral tag to that link. If you buy something after clicking it, Amazon pays us a small share of what they already made on the sale. It goes toward running the site.
You pay nothing extra. The price is the same as it would be if you searched Amazon yourself.
It does not change what gets posted either. Owners write about the parts they actually bought and fitted. Nobody pays us for a mention, we do not rank products by commission, and a critical review of a product stays up. If a link is useful, it is because an owner found it useful.
