Lest someone else be startled if their Pebble does a blackout during use, as ours did recently, it’s probably a Pebble software update. Lights out, HVAC off—several minutes before the reboot returns operations to normal. Could be inconvenient if, say, one were taking a shower at night. Within your profile there is an AUTO UPDATE selector. Mine was ON; now I’ve switched it OFF. It would be nice to have advance notice of a push.
Wonder if the beta software update including cameras is now in production across all Pebble users?
That was my beta-tester push with the cameras.
Serious problem but comical. I could just see me panicking when the shower turned off and went dark!
This happened to me on the first camping trip after picking up my Pebble in December. There was a glitch that shut everything down once the unit was fully charged by shore power: outlets, HVAC, electrical, etc. Had to do a full reset to get everything back on. Happened in the middle of the night both times. Turned out to be a bug and it was solved by a software update. From what I understand, the unit will not update the software when you are plugged into power, so if it happened when you were charging, it is probably not update related.
I called Pebble support when it happened. They were pretty certain it was the update.
