Pebble unlocks itself overnight in Sleep mode
I am having concerning communication issues with support over a couple of issues with my Pebble. The biggest one is that my Pebble unlocks itself at night while in Sleep mode. I reached out to support about a month ago and, after a call that same day to get more info, I have heard nothing back. I have reached out a couple times since and heard nothing back.
I reached out last week about my rear window not going clear (staying opaque), and again received radio silence from support. It is concerning as an early adopter that support has dropped the ball this badly. I am sorry to reach out via Discord, but I am not sure what to do as I get no response from support. Please advise ASAP.
It happens when the unit goes into Sleep mode after a long period of inactivity, not while I am sleeping in it while camping. The security issue is that I went out of town last weekend and came home to the Pebble unlocked. Thankfully the neighborhood kids don't know or I'd be missing an iPad.
I have had the unit since December and never had a problem with the door unlocking; iPad inside versus outside never made a difference. It started about six weeks ago when I downloaded the update to beta test the iPhone app. Support sent an update the day I reported the problem in early April, but that didn't seem to work. I thought I was going crazy, so I took a video to confirm it was locked at night and unlocked in the morning. Fast forward almost two months: no fix and no contact from support. Pretty disappointing.
I took delivery in April, fully spec'd up. As early adopters, we expected problems and challenges. We're fine with that and happy to help Pebble refine the product, as long as Pebble works with us on the fixes.
So far, they haven't been too bad for us. Parts were shipped next day. The bigger problems are going to be taken care of by a mobile technician visit. I'll let you know how that goes.
I would like to see a thread here called “Punch List,” maybe even restricted to owners so as not to scare new buyers. When there are problems that other people are having, I'd like to know so I can check my rig to see if I have that problem too.
