I had the same reaction about Lightship. I was on the fence last year about which one to purchase, and I am so glad I chose Pebble. So many amazing features. You simply can't beat the ability to remotely control the unit where you want it to go in the campsite. As flagship owners, we will experience some hiccups with the tech, but it sounds like they are minor compared to the competitors.
We also looked at Lightship, but we liked Pebble's tech and size better, and Pebble was in production sooner. Lower cost. As old tent campers, we don't need the inside space. Also, if I stop on the side of the road to grab a snack or a bio break in a trailer, I don't want to wait for that thing to slowly expand.
I recently took delivery of my Pebble. The product is impressive, but communication from Pebble was a huge letdown. My original delivery was delayed with little communication, and I accepted a different color to avoid waiting longer.
The delivery was very informative but not the white-glove service I expected.
I too had communication disappointment before picking up my Pebble. But it all worked out in the end.
It's been great making lunch during charging stops.
