Thunderbolt Bed Glider installation and bike securing
8 months ago
The Bed Glider is just held in place by gravity and has rollers that track along the integrated indentations in the bed floor. So, unloaded, it would likely bounce around in a true off-road scenario. You can attach the included limiter bungee cords, but I don't use them—they just get in the way. I just make sure I don't pull the slider out past the end of my tailgate.
The slider has integrated E-track cutouts, so I use an E-track ratchet strap to secure the bikes so they don't slide around, but you could also just bungee cord them to the slider or the bed tie-downs. The glider is not cheap, but it saves on my back.
