Initial Rivian R1T towing impressions with a Pebble

FYI: The long-awaited flatbed delivery of my Pebble to coastal central Florida this morning went off without a hitch. Well, you know what I mean 😉. A little dicey backing it off the flatbed onto a raised loading dock with an iPad. It required a quick turn with 6” clearance once the front wheel cleared the ramp in order to dodge a building.

But it is now safely parked at home. On the 7-mile trip home, I could hardly tell the trailer was back there. Rivian calculated 6,000 lb trailer weight and estimated 175 miles of range at 100% charge (Max Battery Pack Dual Motor R1T). Not much of a real test, but that was with no tow assist, so I’ll be intrigued to see what real-world numbers look like on a serious trip.
