Use Pebble window covers partially folded for daylight

You can half-fold the padded window covers if you don't want to remove them. I did that on a trip and it was great. I also pulled off and stowed the triangle dinette ones. There was no real heat gain, and it was nice to take a nap on the settee while still having a view and natural light. The covers are easy to use and logically marked.

Do you think pull-down shades could be as insulating? Usually pull-downs are paper thin. I find the blackout shades most valuable for their insulating properties.
