Move or recess outlets beside the bed to prevent damaged plugs

Feedback: the plugs by the bed are awesome except for one thing. I store a lot under the bed, so I'm constantly lifting it to get something. I forget plugs are connected and have ripped them out a couple times, damaging the plug and destroying several USB-C cords.
A little more space between the bed and the outlet, or a different outlet location, would be greatly appreciated.
I also knocked the outlet out of place after forgetting to remove a USB plug before raising the bed. This flatter USB wall charger is somewhat helpful in that space:
