I am planning my trip back to Seattle from Fremont and want to check which fast chargers work with Pebble along the way. Do Electrify America or Tesla Superchargers work, or do I need to find EVgo or Rivian Adventure Network chargers?
I am towing with a Rivian R1S and am nervous about reaching a charger with little room and needing to find another working one.
I generally use the 50A outlet for the Pebble, then switch the charger to the R1T after the Pebble reaches 100%; the cable is long enough. I have also daisy-chained the R1T to the Pebble. Most KOAs prohibit EV charging.
As far as I know, Pebble does not have Tesla access, so Tesla will not work unless the Supercharger has a Magic Dock.
Some Electrify America stations do not work on the Pebble; it depends on the charging hardware. Rivian, ChargePoint, and some EVgo stations work.
Charging the Pebble in campgrounds every third night or so eliminated the need for DC fast charging, and I never had to unhitch to charge the R1T.
When charging at a campground, did you charge the Pebble through 50A and charge the R1T from the Pebble output? How far apart did you plan campsites? My planned driving days are six to seven hours.
