Does the Pebble need an external water pressure regulator?

Does anyone use an external water pressure regulator, and if so, what is the ideal setting? Scout said Pebble does not have an internal regulator.

I was told by Pebble that it does have an internal pressure regulator.
I was using an external regulator in addition to the Pebble’s internal regulator, and it caused low water pressure. I removed the regulator on the hose and everything worked great again. Redundancy does not seem needed.
Can confirm: all Pebbles have a built-in water-pressure regulator to prevent damage from high-pressure lines. It regulates to somewhere between 40 and 50 psi.
