How to keep the fridge/freezer running when the Pebble goes to sleep before a trip

Question

Prepping for a trip and trying to find a way to keep the Pebble from going to sleep in order to keep the fridge and freezer on.

Asked Scout and got the response below. As we currently r unable to keep it plugged in, and to avoid having to force an “event” every 9 hours, I’m trying to see if having a light sensing nightlight plugged into the 240V in the pass thru will work.

If anyone has any thoughts/suggestions, I’d welcome them as I’d prefer to pack the fridge and freezer the day before we depart if at all possible and feel confident that things won’t spoil overnight. Tks!

Leave Fresh Air on to keep the HVAC fan running. Would also evacuate some of the heat the fridge will generate since it doesn’t vent externally

I think boondocking mode now keeps it on? I can't find a description of what that mode changes though

I've never had any problems with my fridge going to sleep and I pack it a day or two before a trip. But I have a light sensing night light in the bathroom ...so maybe that did it?

??? Say what?… you lost me there. “…having a light sensing nightlight plugged into the 240V in the pass through…”? So do you mean a light sensing nightlight plugged into the outside 240V outlet? So every 12 hours or so that would trigger a low-drain ‘use’ event on the 240 outlet to reset the sleep timer? If so, seems like that might be a creative approach that would work. So where do you find a 240V ‘nightlight’? (Update oh, ok… I thought by ‘pass through’ you meant the cargo tunnel 😊. Yeah, if turning ‘fresh air’ on does it, that would be easier! Unfortunately, “fresh air” in my locale typically means 96 degree air.)

Yes, I meant having a night light to draw power in the pass thru 240v outlet.

Pretty good range on the Bluetooth. Could remember to tap the ipad from the house if it's close enough. Wonder if that works with app as well.

Just plug in a 120v shore power from your house.
