Alternative surge protector that avoids unnecessary error messages

Is there a better alternative to work with the Pebble? One that won’t show an unnecessary error message that’ll throw my daughters off when they’re borrowing it.

The Gen 1 doesn’t show any errors while in use and is still available to purchase.
