Why I chose the Lightship AE.1 for remote trips

It looks like electric RVs may be getting more popular than we thought.
I carefully evaluated both products when they were launched. I firmly believe both products are the future for RVs, but the immediate buying decision really is a matter of considering individual use cases. I tend to make long trips to remote locations, so I prefer an electric RV with long-duration capability.
Not in order of importance, these are the reasons I picked the Lightship:
- Bigger battery (77 kW)
- Higher-output solar (1.8 kW)
- Significantly better rolling efficiency (retractable canopy)
- Twin-axle torsion-bar design (tire-failure redundancy)
- U.S. designed and manufactured (20% offshore content)
- In-motion V2V support (charge port on the hitch)
And finally, it is a company founded by former Tesla employees who bet it all on a new venture.
I watched a long video with an EV creator I follow and the founder did an in-depth walkthrough of the AE.1. Pretty impressive. Some features I like over Pebble and some I thought were lacking compared with the Flow. I am curious why you decided to purchase the Lightship over a Pebble—no judging, just curious.
