Recommend replacing the crappy European hardware with a simple washer and wing nut while you're at it. This job kicked my butt—my back more like it—from hunching over all day. Good luck, and let's see some more bidet pics.
I wish one or more of you guys doing these mods would post a YouTube video of the process. I think we would all find it really useful.
Two screws hold it in. One in the Velcro compartment, other in the far-left cabinet.

Did you add this valve to tie into under the sink or is it already present? I haven't opened my undercabinet yet and am heading to Home Depot this weekend to get supplies.
I tied in to vertical blue/cold-water PEX. Had to add a "T" connector and extend it out towards the toilet before adding the valve.
Are the connections all pretty standard sizing and compression fitting?

How did you get access to the bottom of the bolts holding the toilet seat? Did you take the entire toilet out? My Pebble toilet doesn't have easy access to them.
You have to pry the circular tabs to access the screw holding toilet down on each side.
And then gently lift out and forward until you can't any more due to the black tank hose. Then squeeze your head down in there to take bolts off and pray you cleaned the toilet enough.

And is it just me? Doesn’t it really seem like, with the indentation at the back of the toilet, it looks like somewhere there is a bidet attachment made for it that we just can’t get info on?
That's only post-bidet install. Without a bidet you have clearance to move the panel. The bidet control arm prevents that after install.

Is the panel that you removed in order to tie into the plumbing secured with Velcro? How did you remove it? I was looking at mine yesterday and didn't readily see a way to remove the panel and didn't want to pry it without checking with you. Thank you very much, by the way, for all of this info!
Velcro compartment is the far-right panel.
Would someone please post the dimensions of the toilet seat as we are to source a bidet/heated seat combo?

Preference would be to tie into power.
I also plan to cut the lower cabinet board for easier access. Currently it's one big piece, which means I can't access below sink without removing toilet. Huge inconvenience. By splitting it, I may be able to add a cabinet door and take advantage of additional storage.
So toilet only had to be removed in order to gain access to and remove the cabinet panel? Seems like a lot of trouble for access to that space (and/or the plumbing and accumulator), and seems like space that could be used for storage, as you say… but I don’t want to have to remove the toilet every time!
