EPB malfunction and rollaway backup-brake behavior

Shout out to Pebble support for being supportive with our rollaway camper! As luck would have it, the EPB malfunctioned with the technician. Glad they got to see it! They did a hard reset by unplugging the 12V. Pebble is picking it up Friday. We put the camper through roughly 4,000 miles and found issues early!
So there was actually something amiss? This is not a situation we should all expect under similar circumstances? Thanks for the feedback—clarity on this is a big deal (says the owner with an inclined driveway and little room for error), at home but especially out in the real world.
