Are you still having issues with your Pebble unlocking itself? After the second tech came out to my house and replaced the wire harness again about a month ago, my issue seemed resolved, but then last week it started again. My Pebble has unlocked every day, usually overnight, since 5/31 while asleep. It seems to be the result of locking the unit with my physical key. Wondering if Pebble fixed yours.
Door lock/unlock issues related to sleep mode seem to be resolved on my unit after Pebble added a new electrical harness/part at the electrical panel at the top of the front closet.
By “front closet,” are you referring to the interior white closet or something else?
Yes, the top interior white closet with clothes hanger bar. If you remove the bar, the electrical panel is in the panel on the left side looking in, at the top.
I have a tech coming to my campsite tomorrow to replace the back glass due to opaque/clear issues, so I will have him take a look again.
Uncertain. A wiring harness was added/replaced during an on-site visit when the solar-panel adhesion recall fix was applied. The fix did seem to resolve the unlocking issue, but I thought I noticed yesterday that something may have been amiss when locking and sleeping the Pebble.
Unfortunately, now unable to test. Pebble was put to sleep yesterday afternoon with 64% SOC. This morning I was unable to connect to or wake the unit via either iPad or iPhone app, after various app/device shutdowns and restarts. Pebble support is working with me and their take so far is a dead or weak 12V battery. My own voltage testing via the jump-point posts under the front end shows 12.4V, but a battery load tester shows “weak.”
Support feels a minimum 30-amp power jump start, or connection to a backup 12V battery, is the best next step—not a lithium battery jump box. Support also suggested connecting to a Rivian via the 7-pin trailer wire for about 1/2 hour, but the trailer is parked too far away for the wiring to reach. So the trailer is currently on a plug-in trickle charger, and we’ll see what happens.
I’ll look into the door-unlocking phenomenon once the Pebble is back online. But I’m not the first with this 12V issue, so we need support to figure out what is going on.
Seemingly the 12V issue described above is now resolved. I will continue further comments and resolution on that issue in the electrical channel.
I’ll comment here on the door-unlock issue after I test further.
Does anyone think the water pump sounds like a dying cow? Is that normal or just me?
My water pump is very loud. It sounds like it's trying to break its way out of the wall. I'm told that all RV water pumps are loud, especially at first, and they get quieter as they break in. We'll see. Mine is still as loud as the first day, but it's only been on two camping trips.
Good to know, thanks. Most of my usage will be in RV parks so I won’t have to deal with it most of the time. I’m glad to hear that is normal. I just had a couple nights at Harvest Hosts locations between parks, so it surprised me. It’s also surprising how quickly the fresh-water tank runs out…
Coming from tent camping and taking solar showers, where we can get two, almost three showers out of a 5-gallon solar shower bag, I haven't had a problem with the fresh water running out. But I've been conservative.
