Battery drained from 65% to 0% during storage

My battery went from about 65% to 0% over a month in storage. Pebble called to say the battery was almost dead. The Pebble was in sleep mode with everything off except the iPad. Any ideas what the vampire draw might be?
It may be the Wi-Fi signal and likely the connection to Pebble. Wi-Fi cannot be turned off, or the Pebble could not be woken with the iPad.
A physical wake-up button in the future could allow it to be completely off for storage.
