Powered stairs have no safety sensor — they can retract while someone is standing on them

Being able to activate the stairs via the buttons beside the entry is convenient.

Be aware, though, there is no safety sensor. If one is standing on the stairs and that button is hit, they will retract. This could topple a person, or even trap and crush a foot.

I had left the stairs extended as the Pebble remained in our driveway this week. I went out at night to check the heating, and while ascending the stairs, pressed the STAIRS button rather than the adjacent LIGHTS button as intended. The stairs began to retract with me standing on them. I am 6'1", so I should certainly not need to be on the stairs to press the LIGHTS button, but a shorter person might definitely be tempted to do so.

Attention Pebble: This hazard should be rectified asap.
